After slightly irrational but uncontrollably disappoinment and anger regarding the HUGE drop in standard in Tom N Tom's toast. @xpinklipsx and I have just learnt that the BBQ chicken outlets in town have been removed. Yes OMGWTFBBQ would be very apt at this point. So we did the only thing we could do and basically cried our little hearts out over at Tom N Tom's FB page. What can I say? We love our toast. Gosh, I love how upset we sound about fucking TOAST.
'Hi, I've really enjoyed Tom N Toms since it opened, especially the maple butter thick toast. I used to eat it at least once every two weeks, along with a number of my friends. Whoever I take along with me is usually pretty impressed with how tasty it is. However recently I've been nothing but disappointed. The last time I went there(Far East outlet) the toast was far too dry and lacked it's usual flavour. There was also a great deal of confusion as to whether I was able to add my usual scoop of ice cream for $1.50. I sincerely hope that that the past few times were just a temporary drop in standard because I really would like to keep patronising Tom N Toms.'
'Hello, I've been a loyal patron of Tom n Toms ever since it opened at Far East Plaza. My favourite is the maple butter thick toast especially with a scoop of ice cream on top. My favourite drink is the pina colada, which is honestly the nicest that I've tried from a cafe here in SG. However, I went to the Far East Plaza outlet last week and was shocked to realise that it has been taken off the menu. Also, I was told that I would not be able to add a scoop of ice cream to my toast. It was even more shocking to note that the staff did not know that it was perfectly okay to add ice cream to the toasts.
Even though they did give in to my request without too much of a problem, I still think that they should have known better.
I do not understand why the quality of the toast has dropped too. I hope improvement will be made and that add-ons such as ice cream scoops would not cause confusion amongst the staff anymore. I really enjoy having my desserts at Tom n Toms with my friends and hope to continue my regular visits.'
