Down the rabbit hole

Tuesday, June 9

I just woke up from this very very strange and disturbing dream in which my warped and twisted mind shoved the dong bang boys into this strange dystopian-like universe in which Yoochun is a bum, Chang min hates everyone, Junsu is skittish, Jaejae is everyone's mother(as usual huh) and everyone's ummm, favourite friend(in other words, kind of slutty, yeah I kindof had to say it because I can't work the italics on this thing), and Yunho is ineffectually useless. It was weird and bizarre, and for some reason we were on a road-trip to (of all places urgh) Malaysia and everyone kept getting pissy and angry and I don't remember if it was because yoochun didn't want to get a job or because of all the weird yoominsu tensions and for some reason I was jaejoong and was trying to umm 'comfort' Yoochun(really italics would be really useful right about now) or just talk to him, but for some strange reason I was in his lap, which is not how I would have played it because I would have chosen Yunho's lap, or my own, because Kim Jaejoong is the most beautiful human being. Ever

Anyways I was just thinking about how completely amazing SHINee's Romeo album is. I absolutely adore this album. Surprisingly, Juliette turns out to be my least favourite song of the album, not that I don't love it, it's just that the other songs are all so incredible. For one Talk To You is awesome, I love Minho in this one, Onew's ad-libs are so beautiful and once again you can here how much Taemin's vocals have improved and ahhh! I really really like the rap battle thing between Key and Minho, it was amazing in their comeback stage and it's amazing on the album.
I still like Juliette, abit Jonghyun heavy, but he totally owns this song. I'm so proud of them for winning number one and I really love when they perform this live, I'm so glad Taemin doesn't do the pelvic thrust thing live, because umm...it's still weird and makes me feel like I'm committing a crime.
Senorita is a really sexy song, it's so cute that Key raps in Spanish, it's an extremely catchy song, would have been a good choice for the title track.
Please, don't go is a very beautiful track, I've really been anticipating the duet between Onew and Jonghyun and it really blew me away. You can really tell how talented the two lead vocals are and it just makes me so proud. I've had a friend tell me she cries alot at this song, and I can totally empathize, it makes me tear a little because ahhhhhh, both of them sound so beautiful and fragile and I can't help it.

Hit me is a nice, slower paced track, it's so chill and it makes me want to have some sangria and sleep eh. Have I mentioned how adorable taemin sounds? My favourite maknae in the whole wide worldddddd.
Romeo + Juliette is my favourite track of the album, it's a fantastic song and really ties in all the different elements of the album. All the SHINee boys sound really really good, also this is the song in which Taemin sings ALOT, but it's not just my bias talking I swear. Key also sounds really good here, I thought. This part is a bit embarrassing to admit, but the first few times I heard this track, I would tear like some dgdjvskshr loser at this specific line Taemin sings, I'll let you figure out which for yourself hehe.
I really am in love with this album, the boys are so talented and I love them alllll. I love that everyone plays a more significant part of the album this time, everyone gets almost equal parts, but I would have liked to hear Key sing a little more, anyone else feels it's less then he used too? But then again it's understandable because they had to make space for Taemins vocal growth so ummm YAYYYYY I take it back, sacrifices must be made for the awesomeness that is Lee Taemin, it's okay Key, you still have the best eyebrows.
Oh! Anyone notice that key kindof gained some muscle! It's quite noticable in the comeback performance of talk to you, his arms are less tiny now!!

Another thing, I finally picked up the nerve to watch the preview of Heaven's Postman a few nights ago. I was very very worried because Jaejae isn't exactly the most profficient actor, I was very skeptical when I heard he was going to act because his acting before this attempt can best be described as extremely awkward. I was pleasantly surprised when I watched the preview actually, I couldn't gather much because of the lack of subs, but really the boy is ridiculously good looking and the acting so far wasn't bad either. Jaejoong basically stood around looking beautiful and detached which I pray was what he was supposed to be. Christine said it broke her heart when the actress pushed and scolded him in one scene and I agree, it's heart-wrenching, it's like Ahhhhh nooooo, GENTLY GENTLYYYYY. And then there's the kiss scene which just made me swoon. I was a bit apprehensive because I thought I would react in irrational hatred, but I guess I have a better grip over my emotions than I thought. It was so beautiful and my heart stopped for that moment. In all honesty, Jaejoong looked like he would rather be kissing Yunho though, but that's besides the point.
