And when he came to the place where the wild things are they roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth.

So two truths and a lie; I slept 12 hours last night. I watched twilight twice. I only eat my gummy bears head first. And no, the one about twilight isn't a lie. I watched it, Twice. With. The. Same Person. Twice. More than once. Willingly. More than WILLINGLY. I WATCHED TWILIGHT MORE THAN ONCE AND I ENJOYED IT DAMMIT.
You don't understand how ah, unusual this is, Huimes and I decided to watch a movie and I picked twilight just so we could scoff about it afterwards. You know, all "Ugh, Twilight - the dialogue was predictable, the characters were unfortunately one-dimensional and the storyline was full of gapping plot holes and what was with that weird 'monster that is not a vampire but Is, just so Meyer can fit her neck-and-blood fetish "vampire" kink somewhere into the love equation". And yes, twilight is still all of the above, BUT DAMMIT WE ENJOYED IT. (TWICE AND MORE TO COME)
I honestly never expected this, I for one didn't think much of the book. I read it once before 2.5 years ago because this 20 year old named Jen said it was her 'favourite book' and 'go read it!'. Which I did, and then I forgot about it, because well, if I wanted some Vampire, I'd just go read some Anne Rice and honestly the book wasn't impressive.
The movie on the other hand...I don't know, I can't explain it. We watched and we left, walked around, felt strange urge to re-watch twilight, shopped abit, felt the urge again, actually tried to re-watch but we missed the next showing by 10 minutes or so, so then, We Made Plans To Watch It Again, Tomorrow. And thats when we knew we had trouble because "Damnnn his stupid brooding charm, it frigging worked." I DON'T KNOW OKAY. THE MOVIE WAS NICE. THE DIALOGUE JUST MADE ME CRINGE . BUT VISUALLY THE MOVIE WAS JUST VERY PRETTY. THE FORESTS WERE SO LUSH. THE GRASS WAS SO GREEN. JASPER AND CARLISLE WERE HOTTTTT. THE SETTING WAS BEAUTIFUL. THE WHOLE CLIMBING UP TREE THING, DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH WE WANTED TO DO JUST THAT? AND I FEEL THIS STRANGE COMPULSION TO BUY SHIRTS IN POWDER BLUE, BECAUSE THATS ALL BELLA AND EDWARD SEEMED TO WEAR. URGH.
This is all very disorienting, like Huimes said "This is terrible. We're betraying our morals." But you know HM, I came up with a very comforting thought, we don't like twilight the book, we only like twilight THE MOVIE. So there. Nothing to be embarrassed about and Oh I finished reading Snuff two hours after I got home, we meet again so I can return it(and then we might oh say, casually stroll pass a cinema and if we happen to watch some random movie, like say Twilight again, who is to say its our fault?)
So we had dinner, discussed power trips, the asexual state, Twilight, hypothetical situations and pick-up lines involving Money, Customer-Waitress related kink and Indecent Proposals. Good times. Tomorrow is New Years Eve, not looking forward to it. Last days always depress me. Maybe I should sleep in the afternoon and wake up the next day when its bright, I might think its the same day, but really, it'll be a whole other year. TIME TRAVELLING.
