Man in Photo: She is in love.
Nino: I don't even know her!
Man in Photo: Oh, you know her.
Nino: Since when?
Man in Photo: Since always.
Man in Photo: In your dreams.
Yes this is my favourite movie, Bunji says all the posters and pictures from the movie in my room scare her.
The honest truth is that I'm a slave to my rss feeds, call it procrastination or whatever, but I blame plain ol' distractions. I love the internet and everything but when you've got Zero Focus and (wrongly diagnosed) ADD, it pretty much means everything you do is going to take five hours longer than necessary.
I came online to do my ARQ(I honestly doubt thats what it's called but Jai says thats what it is), some GP, Science and Tech research whatchamacallit, but somehow got sidetracked to collecting pictures of those Miu Miu-esque puffy skirts, Swedish girls seem to love(as do I, have I mentioned how much I LOVE Swedish fashion blogs, H&M, Cheapmondays) picking which ones to attempt to make. I'm assuming that's the proper way, since almost every puff skirt I've come across is handsewn, DIY FTW. I'm hoping sewing skillz are inherently genetic, or that I'm a late bloomer. Home economics ruins self esteem in your handicraft, the only thing they're made me churn out is a hideous toilet roll holder(WHICH MY FAMILY USES AND LOVES BTW, it's pretty sad looking i.e. Sickly purple, butterfly trimmings, an embodiered pony)
Right, like I was saying, RSS Feeds might ruin my life and it just occurred to me how completely ironic this situation is considering my assignment is on S & T, it's dilemmas and effects. Hmm.
What I really would like(apart from a year's subscription to Nylon) is a one week break. You have no idea how often I fantasize about taking a week off. I would go berry picking, sew puff skirts, eat through a carton of poptarts and apple juice, play Edith Piaff Extremely Loudly, catalog my magazine collection, make mixtapes for everyone I love, make oatmeal raisin cookies and scones, write, go thrifting etc.
I don't know, this post seems really bizarre, an overload of happy I suppose, maybe my subconscious is trying to overcompensate for all the moping I've been doing.
This week has been better.
I was going to talk about my week but I am and hour and fifty-eight minutes behind schedule as it is. But I suppose I could talk about my yesterday:
I ate candy-floss, petted a wet puppy, was at a beach party that took place entirely in the dark, took a bus through Geylang while bel made several 'Cum to Geylang!' jokes. I also found out that I have entirely no sense of direction and just because someone screams doesn't mean that there's always something to be afraid off.
